Michael (Mike) Mack

Michael (Mike) Mack is a Professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), currently teaching Sneaker Design (2023–present) and Accessory Design (2019–present). With over 15 years of industry experience in footwear and product design, his academic work bridges practical expertise in design, manufacturing, and brand development from roles at companies like Steve Madden, Camuto Group, and Levi's.

Mack’s research focuses on footwear innovation, combining technical rendering, trend analysis, and global supply chain management. His industry experience includes strategic development trips to China, material selection, and creating tech packs for major retailers like Macy’s and Ross.

Mack founded the brand Michael Grey Footwear, handling all business aspects including bespoke designs, runway presentations, and freelance collaborations (e.g., PYRE MOSS featured in Vogue in 2018). He has also led design teams at Simple Factory Group and worked on brand identity development.
