Micah Wright is an Adjunct Professor specializing in Clarinet and Saxophone at California Lutheran University. He is an active freelance musician in the Los Angeles area, performing across solo, chamber, studio, and orchestral settings while maintaining a private studio and teaching clinics throughout the Southwest.
Dr. Wright earned his Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in clarinet performance from USC, Master of Music (M.M.) from Rice University, and Bachelor of Music (B.M.) from Drake University, with additional performance minors in saxophone and piano. His musical development was shaped by distinguished instructors including Michele Zukovsky, Yehuda Gilad, Richie Hawley, and Clarence Padilla.
His performance expertise spans classical repertoire and woodwind techniques, with a career highlighting both solo and ensemble work. Dr. Wright's artistic approach demonstrates mastery across multiple woodwind instruments and performance contexts.

He maintains an active performance schedule while sharing his expertise as a D'Addario Woodwinds performing artist and through educational outreach across the Southwest.
