Dr. Meraiah Foley is a Senior Lecturer in Work and Organisational Studies at the University of Sydney Business School and serves as Academic Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. She is affiliated with the Australian Centre for Gender Equality and Inclusion @ Work. Her research focuses on gendered dimensions of workplace technology, managerial roles in advancing gender equality, and cybersecurity career inclusivity. Foley teaches core units in Industrial Relations/Human Resource Management and coordinates the Work and Organisational Studies Honours program.
Research Interests
Foley’s work examines gender equity in emerging work environments, including the impact of the pandemic on young workers, cybersecurity workforce diversity, and the role of middle managers in implementing equality policies. Her projects include ARC grants on post-pandemic work futures and gender equality design in retail and legal sectors.
