Andreea Constantin is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Sydney, affiliated with the CEPAR (Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research) Organisations and Mature Workforce stream. She holds a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Cologne, Germany, and two master's degrees in Social Policy Analysis and Statistics from Catholic University Leuven (Belgium) and the University of Bucharest (Romania). Her research focuses on work-life balance policies, mature workers, care strain, gender roles, and cross-cultural methodologies.
Teaching responsibilities include units on research methods, statistics, qualitative/quantitative analysis, and human resource management. Her recent work examines the impacts of care strain on workforce participation, gender equality in parental leave policies, and employer use of temporary skilled visas in Australia. Key collaborations include studies on pandemic-era work-life dynamics and mature worker retention strategies.
Publications span peer-reviewed journals (e.g., Australian Journal of Management, International Journal of Care and Caring), edited volumes, and policy submissions to parliamentary inquiries. Methodological expertise includes survey design, big data analysis, and cross-cultural comparative research.
