Melis Cin is a Senior Lecturer in Education and Social Justice at the School of Social Sciences, Lancaster University. Her research intersects education, gender, and international development with a focus on participatory arts and decolonial feminist analysis.
- Leading AHRC Project on African-led partnerships for gender, conflict, and creative economies.
- Coordinating British Council Project on eco-creative pedagogies for green skills and resilience.
Research Themes: Uses participatory art methods to address injustices in refugee education, conflict settings, and marginalized populations in the Global South. Grants include AHRC, British Council, EU Jean Monnet, and British Academy funding from 2017–2026.
