Professor James Sweeney is a faculty member at the School of Law at Lancaster University since 2013. His research focuses on the aftermath of conflict and authoritarianism, particularly in international human rights law, transitional justice, and international refugee law. He has previously held positions at Durham, Newcastle, and Hull universities.
