Mazen El Ghaziri

Mazen El Ghaziri is an Associate Professor and Associate Chair at the Susan and Alan Solomont School of Nursing, Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences at UMass Lowell. His expertise centers on occupational health, workplace violence prevention, nursing workforce development, and correctional health systems. He holds a PhD from the University of Maryland, an MPH from the American University of Beirut, and a BS in Nursing from the same institution.

Research Interests: Workplace violence prevention, correctional healthcare workforce dynamics, nursing workforce wellbeing, work environment optimization, and Total Worker Health® interventions. His current focus includes gender differences in occupational exposures among correctional nurses and peer mediation strategies for workplace bullying.
He employs mixed-methods approaches, integrating bio-behavioral interventions and participatory action research.

• Developed curriculum innovations like the 'Difference Makers Principles' integration in nursing education
