Ginger Hanson

Ginger Hanson is an Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing (JHSON), joining the faculty in 2017. As an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and Biostatistician, she specializes in workforce safety, occupational health psychology, and workplace violence prevention.

Her research integrates advanced statistical methods with health care workforce studies, focusing on moral resilience, burnout, and work-life integration. She contributes to grant submissions as a statistician and collaborates on interdisciplinary research with sedentary workers and health care professionals.

Recent publications examine workplace health interventions, moral resilience frameworks, and violence prevention strategies. Dr. Hanson also provides methodological expertise to PhD and DNP programs, supporting student projects and pilot studies for junior faculty.

Dr. Hanson actively facilitates grant collaborations and serves as a project statistician in the Methods Core of the Nursing Office of Research Administration (NORA). Her work addresses critical gaps in health care ethics and workforce well-being, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
