معرفی
Maura Marchegiani is an Associate Professor of International Law at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, affiliated with the Department of International Human and Social Sciences (SUSI). Her academic work bridges public international law, EU institutional law, and human rights, with a focus on global challenges such as climate change, migration, and systemic vulnerability.
Her research interests center on the legal frameworks governing human mobility, emergency governance, and sustainable development. She investigates how legal systems interact in transnational contexts, particularly in protecting vulnerable populations. Key themes include the principle of non-refoulement, inclusive education, statelessness, and climate-induced displacement. Her interdisciplinary approach integrates legal theory, policy analysis, and social sciences.
The recent publications reflect a strong trend in addressing the intersection of human rights, environmental law, and migration policy. Her work increasingly focuses on how notions of vulnerability reshape legal norms in emergencies and climate crises. She contributes to both doctrinal and practical legal debates, often through case law analysis and policy evaluation.
