Matthew Stanley is Professor of History and Philosophy of Science at NYU's Gallatin School, holding degrees in astronomy, physics, history, and religion. His research examines connections between science and broader culture, particularly the history of relativity and science-religion interactions.
He directs the NYC History of Science Working Group and co-hosts the 'What the If?' science podcast. Awarded for teaching excellence, his book 'Einstein's War' (2019) explores how World War I shaped relativity's development.
