David Spielman

David Spielman is Assistant Professor at NYU's Gallatin School, specializing in early modern Christian Ethiopia. His research examines how the Ethiopian Orthodox Church integrated Coptic-Arabic legal texts within pluralistic legal contexts using Ge'ez, Amharic and Italian sources.
