Matthew Murray is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and serves as a Senior Fellow at the Baker School of Public Policy and Public Affairs. He previously directed the Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy and the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research, while also leading the Department of Economics and its Public Administration program.

Dr. Murray has over 30 years of experience in economic policy research at the University of Tennessee, including 20+ years in economic forecasting for the state and TVA. He is affiliated with the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research and contributes to public administration education.
