Donald J. Bruce

Donald J. Bruce is the Randy and Jenny Boyd Distinguished Professor at the University of Tennessee's Department of Economics, affiliated with the Haslam College of Business. He serves as Director of the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research and the NCAA/SEC Faculty Athletics Representative. His research focuses on tax policy impacts on entrepreneurship, small businesses, and public sector economics, with emphasis on government contracts and welfare evaluations. He has advised numerous state agencies and testified before Congress on internet taxation and tax reform.

Educated at Drew University (B.A., Economics) and Syracuse University (M.A., Ph.D. Economics), Dr. Bruce has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications.
