معرفی
Matthew Fuchter is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford and a Visiting Professor at Imperial College London's Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on photoswitchable molecules, chiral materials for optoelectronics, and drug discovery. He leads the Fuchter Group, which develops molecules and materials for applications ranging from energy storage to photopharmacology. Awards include the Royal Society of Chemistry prizes and the Blavatnik Award. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the European Academy of Sciences. Additionally, he is a founder and Non-Executive Director of NK:IO Ltd, an immune-oncology spinout company.
Education: PhD from Imperial College London (2006), postdoctoral work at CSIRO Australia, and academic roles at Imperial College London before moving to Oxford in 2024. His research spans drug development (e.g., Samuraciclib), chiral optoelectronic materials, and molecular design.
