Dr. Matt Deeg is an Assistant Professor of Management at the College of Business and Economics (COBA) at Abilene Christian University (ACU). He specializes in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, focusing on meaningful work, ethical leadership, and social support dynamics. His teaching includes courses on Organizational Behavior, Compensation & Benefits Management, and leadership. Deeg holds a B.A. in Social Sciences and Organizational Studies from the University of Oklahoma, an M.Ed. in Adult/Higher Education Administration, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management from the University of Kansas.
His research explores how ethical behavior, moral courage, and workplace support systems influence employee well-being and organizational culture. He prioritizes aligning his academic work with values emphasizing service, faith, and community impact, which he sees as core to ACU's mission. Deeg has extensive experience in student development, mentoring, and leadership training, reflecting his commitment to fostering student growth both academically and personally.
His recent publications highlight themes in workplace ethics, organizational culture during uncertainty, and the motivational factors behind student enrollment in honors programs.
