Jim Detert is the John L. Colley Professor of Business Administration at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration and a Professor of Public Policy at the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. His expertise spans leadership development, workplace courage, ethical decision-making, and employee voice, with a focus on global high-technology and service-oriented industries as well as public sector institutions.

Detert has designed leadership and ethics curricula taught globally, including Darden's Defining Moments Curriculum, which helps professionals navigate high-stakes decisions.
