Mats Jönsson

Mats Jönsson is a full Professor in Film Studies at the University of Gothenburg, where he has been since 2015. His research focuses on archive-driven media history, examining visual media's role in cultural, social, and organizational contexts. He previously served as Associate Professor at Gothenburg (2015), Assistant Professor at Örebro University (2005–2011), and Research Assistant at Lund University (2006–2010), where he earned his PhD in 2004.

Publications include 3 monographs, 9 anthologies, and contributions to journals, PDFs, and exhibitions at Hasselblad Center.
