Christina Tente is a doctoral student in Art History and Visual Studies at the University of Gothenburg, collaborating with the Hasselblad Foundation. Her research examines the visual culture of the COVID-19 pandemic through press photography (2020), employing affect theory, iconography, and visual discourse analysis.

Research Interests include photography, posthuman philosophy, nonhuman photography, transpecies encounters, and meme theory. Her work reflects on photography as a generator of affect and orientation (Ahmed, 2006; Azoulay, 2009).
