Mathea Sophia Galanski

Mathea Sophia Galanski is a Professor in the Faculty of Chemistry at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, with an affiliation to the NMR Centre. Her research focuses on developing platinum(IV) complexes for anticancer therapies, drug delivery systems, and applying NMR spectroscopy to study drug stability. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and innovation.

She has contributed to over 179 publications and received the Inorganics 2018 Best Paper Awards (2020). A key project (2008–2011) explored Platin (IV) Komplexe, funded by research grants. She actively collaborates internationally and engages in science communication, including talks on trans scientist perspectives and platinum chemistry advancements.
