Christian Kowol

Christian Kowol is an Associate Professor in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry. His research focuses on metal-based therapeutics, particularly platinum(IV) complexes and prodrugs targeting cancer. He leads projects such as 'Tuning drug ratios in multi-action platinum(IV) therapeutics' and 'The tumor microenvironment as target and regulator of anticancer (metal) drug response.' His recent work includes developing fluorescent oxaliplatin complexes and albumin-targeted prodrugs. Kowol actively collaborates on drug design, solubility enhancement, and radiolabelling for cancer imaging.
