Mary Crossley is a Visiting Professor at Saint Louis University School of Law, affiliated with the Center for Health Law Studies. Previously, she served as Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law from 2005-2012, where she led initiatives in curricular reform, innovation, and diversity. She holds a JD from Vanderbilt University and a BA from the University of Virginia.
Her research focuses on healthcare inequality, disability law, and racial justice in health systems, reflected in her 2022 book Embodied Injustice: Race, Disability, and Health and publications in top law journals like Columbia Law Review and Yale Journal of Health Policy, Law and Ethics.
- Leadership Roles: Former Dean of Pitt Law, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow, and Director of Pitt’s Health Law Program.
- Key Contributions: Pioneering work on disability discrimination, healthcare access disparities, and public health law.
