Professor Martin Spring is a Professor of Operations Management at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), UK. He serves as Director of the School’s Centre for Productivity & Innovation and Principal Investigator of the TiPS Accelerator, focusing on digital adoption in law and accountancy firms. His research emphasizes the intersection of innovation in products, services, and technologies with processes and supply chains, with recent work on AI in professional services and innovation policy.
Education: B.Tech (Hons), D.M.S., Ph.D.
Research Interests: Business-to-Business Services, supply chain flexibility, public policy and innovation linkages, and qualitative research methods. His current projects explore AI-driven transformation in professional sectors and innovation intermediation in supply networks.
Awards and Fellowships: Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences (FAcSS), AIM Services Fellow, and Member of the ESRC/Innovate UK Innovation & Research Caucus.
