Dr. Spring Zhou is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Business at the University of Wollongong, specializing in operations and supply chain management. She holds a PhD from the University of Auckland (2016) and previously worked as a lecturer at Massey University and a Research Fellow at the University of Auckland. Her research focuses on practice-driven solutions for supply chain challenges, including medical reserve management, agricultural cooperatives, and nonprofit operations.
Education: PhD in Operations and Supply Chain Management (University of Auckland, 2016); prior academic roles include Massey University (2016-2018) and University of Auckland (2016). Research interests span agricultural value chains, strategic inventory systems, and operational resilience in emergency contexts. Notable collaborations include work with AgResearch on agri-product credence attributes and land-use practices.
Recent research highlights include studies on pandemic impacts on travel behavior, antifragility in inventory systems, and medical supply chain resilience. Her work has been published in top journals like Production and Operations Management and European Journal of Operational Research.
