Recent publications emphasize gender and socioeconomic trends in parenthood, regional fertility differences, and transgender demographics. His work is published in top journals like Demography, Genus, and Nature Human Behavior.
He advises on government reports (e.g., pandemic mortality, census reforms) and leads interdisciplinary teams at SUDA and the Centre for Cultural Evolution. Current projects include studying multigenerational economic impacts and the persistence of historical inequality.
