Roles and Affiliations: Sofi Ohlsson Wijk is a Researcher at the Department of Sociology, Stockholm University. She is part of the Stockholm University Demography Unit (SUDA), focusing on population dynamics with expertise in family demographics, fertility trends, and late-life divorce.
Research Interests: Her work examines marriage formation patterns, fertility decline in Sweden, impacts of gender equality on family decisions, and demographic changes in aging populations. Key themes include late-life divorce predictors, workplace influences on parenthood, and societal shifts affecting family structures.
Key Projects: Current research includes studies on late-life divorce consequences, fertility intentions using GGS2020 data, and the link between workplace gender composition and childbearing. She also explores aging demographics and social inequality drivers in fertility decline.
