Martin Klinthäll is an Associate Professor and Head of Division of Culture, Society, Design and Media (KSFM) at Linköping University, Sweden. He holds affiliations with the Department of Culture and Society (IKOS) and the Centre for Local Government Studies (CKS). His research focuses on migration, labor market integration, and health-related integration outcomes, with a particular emphasis on migrant entrepreneurship and demographic trends. Klinthäll leads interdisciplinary projects such as 'Entrepreneurship among people with migrant backgrounds' and explores topics like self-employment in later life, structural labor market changes, and the role of social networks in integration.
His work bridges economic history and sociology, analyzing big data to address questions about migration’s socioeconomic impacts.
