Indre Genelyte is an Assistant Professor at Linköping University's Department of Culture and Society (IKOS), affiliated with the Division of Ageing and Social Change (ASC) and REMESO (Division of Migration, Ethnicity and Society). She holds a BA and MA in Social Work from Vilnius University, with research focused on labor migration impacts, aging populations, and social exclusion in Scandinavian-Baltic regions. Her work bridges social policy analysis, qualitative methodologies, and transnational migration studies.

She has conducted funded research on pensioners' living standards in Lithuania and contributed to transnational comparative studies.
