Graz University of Technologyمعرفی
Martien den Hertog is a permanent CNRS Researcher at the Institut Neel in Grenoble, France. She holds an MSc in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Utrecht (2005) and a PhD from Universite Joseph Fourier (2009).
Her research focuses on structure-property relations in semiconducting nanowires using advanced techniques like Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), off-axis electron holography, and in-situ biasing experiments. She specializes in correlating electrical and structural properties at the nanoscale.
Notable contributions include:
- Developing cryogenic in-situ TEM methods to detect single charges in devices
- Improving contact quality in nanowires for precise electrical measurements
- Quantitative analysis of doping concentrations and polarization fields
She has supervised multiple PhD students and secured competitive funding, including an ERC Starting Grant (e-See) and an ANR young researcher project (COSMOS).
