Marti Doyle

Marti Doyle is an Associate Professor in the Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) department at Mercy College of Health Sciences, specializing in Social Sciences. She holds a PhD in General Human Services from Capella University (2008) and an MSW from the University of Iowa (2004).

Her research focuses on applying the Cummins Model to retain Limited English Proficiency learners, exploring compassion in health sciences education, and transforming nursing students' attitudes toward death and dying. She has presented at the NCA Higher Learning Commission Annual Conference and contributed to evidence-based practice programs.

A licensed social worker with diverse clinical experience, Marti has served as a Student Enrichment Coordinator, Hospice Bereavement Counselor, Parenting Educator, and Homeless Youth Specialist. She teaches courses in sociology, social justice, and psychology.
