Vee Williams

Dr. Vee Williams, currently serving as Professor and Associate Director of Online MSW Practicum Education at Simmons University School of Social Work, is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in mental health, child welfare, and clinical supervision. She holds a PhD in Human Services (Public Leadership) from Capella University, an MSW from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a BS from Empire State University.

Dr. Williams specializes in clinical supervision, direct clinical practice, and administrative oversight for children, couples, families, and adults. She has developed clinical practice coursework using simulation to prepare graduate students for diverse client systems.

Her research focuses on educational outcomes and family dynamics, particularly evident in her 2013 dissertation analyzing parental influence on academic success among Michigan high school students. This work aligns with broader interests in adolescent development and educational psychology.

Dr. Williams is licensed in Arizona (LCSW) and Michigan (LMSW) and affiliated with organizations such as the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). She has trained numerous limited licensed BSW and MSW social workers, providing them with the support needed to attain full licensure.
