Martha Snider is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Concord University, affiliated with the Department of Nursing within the College of Science, Mathematics, and Health. She holds a DNP and Post-Master’s in Nursing Education from Walden University, alongside prior degrees from Alexandria Hospital School of Nursing. Her career spans over 30 years as an ICU nurse at Washington Hospital Center, followed by academic roles including coordinating an LPN program at Dabney College. Currently, she is instrumental in developing Concord University’s BSN program from its inception.
Her research focuses on rural health challenges, obesity interventions, and implementing patient-centered medical models. She actively engages in policy advocacy through organizations like the West Virginia Healthy Children and Family Coalition. Community initiatives include founding a farmers market in White Sulphur Springs and youth development programs.
Dr. Snider’s background combines clinical expertise with educational leadership, driven by her passion for improving healthcare access and outcomes in West Virginia.
