Dr. Shawn Allen is an Associate Professor of Social Work and Co-Director of the CU in Schools program at Concord University. He holds a BSW from Concord University (2007), MSW from West Virginia University (2011), and DSW from Tulane University (2021). His professional licenses include Licensed Social Worker (since 2007), Licensed Graduate Social Worker (2011), and Licensed Certified Social Worker (2022).

Research focuses on aging, rural service delivery systems, ethical social work practices, and professional supervision.
