C. Scott Inghram

Dr. C. Scott Inghram is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Social Work and Sociology at Concord University, where he also directs the MSW program. He holds an EdD from Marshall University (2018), MSW from Tulane University (2009), and dual undergraduate degrees from Concord University/Concord College (BSW 2004, BA Sociology 2003).

His research focuses on curriculum development and child welfare training/services. Since 2005, he has led statewide initiatives including $4.8M in program funding, Title IV-E programs ($9.6M since 2017), and WV pre-service foster care curricula. He secured $6M+ through CSWE grants and developed four+one partnerships with WV HBCUs.

As WV Board of Social Work Chair and SWEC President, he drives policy practice and accreditation. Notable achievements include founding WV's first Opioid Symposiums and creating Concord's Office of Sponsored Programs. Community roles include Vice President of Childlaw Services Inc.
