Dr. Mark Peter Wright is a Professor and Reader in Critical Sound Practice at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, and Director of the CRiSAP (Creative Research in Sound Arts Practice) research centre. His work bridges sound art, environmental studies, and critical theory, emphasizing practice-based research in field recording, ecological discourse, and pedagogical innovation. He has exhibited globally, collaborated with artists like Helena Hunter (Matterlurgy) and Prof. Angus Carlyle, and co-convened the influential Points of Listening series. Awards include British Composer of the Year in Sonic Arts and the UAL Outstanding Supervisor Award (2021).
