Professor Nye Parry holds dual professorial roles at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Trinity Laban Conservatoire. A sound artist and composer, his work bridges composition, installation, and interactive media. He explores navigable sound structures through immersive environments like The Exploded Sound (2012) and Significant Birds, reaching over 700,000 global visitors. His research, supported by a CRiSAP fellowship, focuses on spatial sound and audience interaction.
Parry’s career includes leading the MA in Sonic Arts at Middlesex University (2003–2011) and collaborations with artists like Madi Boyd and Cathy Lane. His publications, such as Navigating Sound (2014), address locative audio and interactive design. He lectures internationally and contributes to journals like Organised Sound.
