Mark Graham is a Professor of Internet Geography at the Oxford Internet Institute (OII), a Faculty Fellow at the Alan Turing Institute, a Senior Research Fellow at Green Templeton College, and a Research Affiliate at the University of Oxford’s School of Geography and the Environment. His research focuses on digital labour, the gig economy, internet geographies, and ICTs and development. In Berlin, he collaborates with the WZB and TU to develop the German branch of the Fairwork Foundation, which evaluates digital platforms for fair working conditions.
His work bridges critical geography and internet studies, emphasizing how digital technologies reshape economic and spatial dynamics. Key projects include measuring platform fairness, analyzing global knowledge economies, and exploring intersections between technology and development.
