Patrick Feuerstein

Patrick Feuerstein is a Research Fellow at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB) and Co-PI of the Fairwork Germany Project. He holds a PhD in Sociology from Georg-August-University of Göttingen (summa cum laude) and has served as Acting Professor for Sociology at Göttingen, focusing on 'Digitalization in the World of Work' and 'Work, Organization and Economy.' His research explores global production networks, IT offshoring, collaborative innovation, and labor practices in digital platforms.

• Prior Roles: Acting Professor (Göttingen), Principal Investigator (DFG-funded project), and Research Associate at Oxford Internet Institute (OII)

• Impact of digitalization on labor markets

Publications reflect expertise in labor sociology, digital economies, and global value chains. Awards include the Friedrich-Christoph-Dahlmann-Prize for his doctoral thesis. He co-leads Fairwork Germany, promoting ethical labor standards in digital platforms.
