Tobias Kuttler

Dr. Tobias Kuttler is a Research Fellow at the Research Group Globalization, Work, and Production at the WZB – Berlin Social Science Center. He concurrently serves as a research associate at the Fairwork Secretariat, coordinating regional activities in Europe and Asia. With a background in geography and urban planning from TU Berlin, TU Munich, and the University of Hamburg, his research focuses on urban development, mobility systems, and platform work dynamics in South Asia, particularly in Mumbai's taxi sector. His work critiques 'urban solutionism,' emphasizing worker-centric approaches to platformization and mobility justice.

Key contributions include authoring Re-thinking Mobility Poverty (2021), which examines mobility disadvantages across Europe, and exploring socio-spatial impacts of digital platforms on taxi drivers.
