Mark Caserta is a visiting faculty member in the BFA Dance Lab at Bennington College for the 2024-2025 academic year, teaching Performance Pedagogies of Dance in Fall 2025. A queer dance maker from Philadelphia, they direct the movement collective BIGKID DANCE.
Their research and practice centers on contemporary dance and choreography, with specific focus on queer movement practices and performance pedagogy. Caserta's work explores embodied storytelling through innovative movement frameworks.
Caserta has received significant recognition including the 2023 Princess Grace Award in Choreography and a 2023 Choreographic Fellowship at Jacob's Pillow. They serve as artist in residence at Peridance Capezio Arts Center.

As a professional dancer, Caserta has performed with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal, and Camille A. Brown and Dancers. Their choreographic work has been commissioned by leading institutions including Gibney Dance and American Ballet Theater.
