Marisa Crisostomo serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Decision Management in the Department of Computer Information and Decision Management at West Texas A&M University's Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business since 2017. Her academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology and Quantitative Methods (2017), M.S. in Cognitive Psychology (2015), and B.A. in Psychology (2012) from the University of Oklahoma and Gonzaga University.

Her research focuses on cognitive psychology mechanisms enhancing student learning, particularly metacognition and desirable difficulties in educational contexts. Current investigations examine procrastination dynamics in organizational settings and template-based feedback systems for efficient assessment. Teaching innovations integrate Occupational Information Network (O*NET) data to demonstrate real-world statistics applications.
Recognition includes the 2024 Engler College Teaching Excellence Award and multiple university teaching honors. Her scholarly output demonstrates consistent focus on bridging cognitive psychology with business education through publications in Management Research Review and Management Teaching Review.
