Marine Besnard

Marine Besnard is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Inflammatory Disease, Monash Health, affiliated with Monash University. Her research focuses on autoimmune diseases, particularly Autoimmune Polyendocrine Syndrome Type 1 (APS-1), immunotherapeutic strategies, and immunological mechanisms underlying multisystem disorders. She investigates interferon-γ pathways, CD45RC antibody therapies, and the role of Aire gene deficiency in autoimmunity. Her work bridges preclinical models and human diseases, with contributions to understanding APS-1 complications and transplant tolerance mechanisms.

Her publications span clinical and experimental immunology, including studies on autoimmune amelogenesis imperfecta and CD8+ T regulatory cells in transplantation. Collaborations involve international teams addressing genetic, immunological, and clinical aspects of autoimmune conditions.
