Marina Milner-Bolotin

Professor Marina Milner-Bolotin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Education. She specializes in science and mathematics education, educational technology, and teacher training. With over 25 years of teaching experience across Ukraine, Israel, the U.S., and Canada, she focuses on integrating technology in STEM education and fostering student engagement through innovative pedagogies.

Her research interests include physics education, modeling in STEM, project-based instruction, and STEM outreach initiatives like the annual UBC Physics Olympics. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, multiple book chapters, and an undergraduate physics textbook. Her editorial roles include serving as Associate Editor of Frontiers in Science Education and Editor of Physics in Canada.

Dr. Milner-Bolotin has received prestigious awards for teaching and research excellence. She actively contributes to national and international STEM education organizations, including the American Educational Research Association and the Canadian Association of Physicists.
