Marileen Dogterom

Prof. Marileen Dogterom is a Professor of Bionanoscience at TU Delft's Faculty of Applied Sciences. She is renowned for her leadership in synthetic biology and bridging physics with biology. A recipient of the Spinoza Prize (Netherlands' highest scientific honor), she leads large-scale projects on synthetic cells and holds an ERC Synergy Grant. As KNAW President, she advocates for diversity and integrity in science.

Her legacy includes mentoring students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers, fostering inclusive environments where scientists thrive.
