Dr. Marijn Van de Broek is a Lecturer at ETH Zurich's Department of Environmental Systems Science, where he researches human-Earth system interactions focusing on soil biogeochemistry and anthropogenic impacts. His work investigates how agricultural practices and climate change influence soil microbiomes and nutrient cycling, using numerical models to simulate carbon and nitrogen dynamics across diverse ecosystems from tropical mangroves to arctic environments.
His educational background includes:
