Maria Yilmaz is a University Lecturer in Occupational Therapy at Örebro University since 1999. She holds a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (Örebro University, 1988), a master's in Health Sciences (Uppsala University, 1998), and a licentiate degree in Disability Science (Örebro University, 2009). Her research focuses on social interaction and participation in daily activities among individuals with schizophrenia. She teaches foundational occupational therapy courses, supervises bachelor’s theses, and leads examination seminars. Since 2020, she has served as Deputy Program Manager for the Occupational Therapy Program at Örebro University.
