Gunnel Janeslätt

Gunnel Janeslätt, PhD, is a part-time researcher associated with Uppsala University's Department of Public Health and Care Sciences. She is employed at the Habilitation in Dalarna and part of the Center for Clinical Research Dalarna (CKF). Her primary research focuses on time perception and time management in individuals with disabilities across the lifespan, including children, adults, and the elderly. She defended her PhD thesis, 'TIME for TIME: Assessment of time processing ability and daily time management in children with and without disabilities,' at Karolinska Institutet in 2009.

Her work emphasizes developing and validating assessment tools (e.g., KaTid, Time-S) and interventions (e.g., My Time, Let’s Get Organized) to improve daily functioning for those with cognitive impairments. Projects include international collaborations on dementia care, ADHD parenting support, and time management in spina bifida. She leads and participates in grants from FORTE, CKF, and regional funds, with a focus on multi-professional and evidence-based approaches.

Key collaborations include projects with Örebro University, Mälardalen University, and institutions in India and Japan. Her research aligns with ICF frameworks and employs mixed-methods (qualitative and Rasch analysis).
