Richard Adams, M.D. is Professor and Chief of the Division of Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center, serving simultaneously as Medical Director of Pediatric Developmental Disabilities at Scottish Rite for Children. He has dedicated his 30+ year career to advancing care for children with developmental disabilities, particularly spina bifida and myelomeningocele.

For three decades, he has served as Medical Director of "Camp TLC," an annual summer camp serving 100 youths with spina bifida, demonstrating his commitment to improving quality of life beyond clinical settings.
Clinical & Research Teams:
At Scottish Rite for Children, Dr. Adams leads multidisciplinary teams combining developmental pediatrics, pediatric urology, neurosurgery, and rehabilitation medicine. His collaborative approach has established comprehensive care models that address the complex needs of children with spina bifida, integrating medical management with psychosocial support and educational planning.
