Maria Maciá is Associate Professor of Law at Notre Dame Law School and Fellow at the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate. Her empirical research examines corporate regulation, banking oversight, and valuation economics, with focus on disclosure requirements and socially responsible business practices.
Her published work explores well-being analysis in eminent domain compensation. Current projects investigate Dodd-Frank's impact on bank concentration and mortgage lending discrimination under disparate impact standards.
Professor Maciá holds a J.D. from University of Chicago Law School (where she served as Articles Editor for the Law Review) and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago.
