Maria Brock is a Researcher at the Department of Media and Communication Studies at Södertörn University, leading the Baltic Sea Foundation-funded project on 'Networked misogyny in Sweden, Germany and Russia.' She holds a PhD in Psychosocial Studies from Birkbeck, University of London, with prior fellowships including a Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship (2021-2023) examining anti-gender movements in Russia and Germany. Her interdisciplinary work focuses on gender, digital media, memory studies, and political communication, with expertise in Russian and German sociopolitical contexts.
