Dr. Baranchuk specializes in political communication through psycho-rhetorical frameworks, examining national identity construction in modern Russia. Her doctoral research employed Lacanian-Burkean theory to analyze Vladimir Putin's narratives alongside state-sponsored and independent anti-fascist movements versus neo-fascist groups, revealing contradictions between Russia's anti-fascist historical pride and rising ethnic intolerance. Current work explores conspiracy theories as critical discourse phenomena, connecting historical narrative patterns to contemporary misinformation dynamics using interdisciplinary rhetorical analysis.
